Gates Highway Contract Approved!
The Gates Town Board approved the contract for the Highway workers at the Board Meeting on Monday May 7, 2007.
It was a long struggle, but thanks to hard work & Unity, the negotiation process prevailed, and the workers have a new 2 year contract. The agreement, which affects approximately 20 Union employees, provides for improved retiree health care, new language concerning building improvements, wages, pension, and much more.

Teamsters Reach Agreement With RTS
The union for the Regional Transit Service has ratified its first labor agreement.
The Teamsters Local 118 reached a five-year deal with RTS Tuesday.
The agreement provides job security and other provisions that protect employee and retiree health benefits, pension plan, and wage increases of up to five percent annually.
The agreement affects 30 union employees.
