Steven S. Mazza

Steve Mazza has been a Teamster member since 1969.

He was a member of Local 398 from 1969 - 1977 and a member of Local 118 from 1997 until the present.

He worked various construction jobs, which included the widening of Jefferson Road, the Irondequoit Bay Bridge and the transformation of the Troup Howell Bridge extension of Rt. 490 which crosses the Genesee River in downtown Rochester, just to name a few.

In 1977, he transferred from Local 398 to Local 118 after accepting a position at Wegmans Food Markets. He was a warehousemen at Wegmans for the first three years. He was appointed a Union Steward in 1979, representing members in food service, produce, frozen, grocery and driving. In 1980 Steve transferred to the transportation department to become a driver.

In 1988 Steve was appointed Sargent-at-Arms. In 1993 he was elected Chief Steward, responsible for all Union members at Wegmans. That same year he was appointed to Local 118 as a full-time Business Agent. In 1996 Steve was appointed as a Trustee on Joint Council 17.

Steve was appointed Vice-President in 1998 and was elected to that position in 2000, that same year he was appointed as a Trustee on Joint Council 46. In 2003, Steve was elected President of Teamsters Local 118 and was appointed Vice-President of Joint Council 46. He has been directly responsible for negotiating every Wegmans contract since 1985.

In addition to his duties as President and Principle Officer, Steve represents the members at the following companies:
Staples, Empire Beef, Eber Brothers Liquor, Wegmans Food Markets and B. Giambrone & Co.

Eugene A. DeLorme
Vice-President, Business Agent

Gene DeLorme started his career as a Teamster in 1979, where he worked at United Parcel Service as an Automotive Mechanic. He has had several mechanical and plant engineering jobs throughout his career at United Parcel Service.

In 1988 Gene was elected Chief Steward. In 1994 Gene was appointed Sargent-at-Arms and in 1996 was appointed as a Trustee on Teamsters Local 118 Executive Board, Gene also served as a delegate on Joint Council 17.

In 1998 Gene was appointed as a full-time Business Agent. In 2000 he successfully completed the Teamsters Leadership Academy for Union Officers. In 2003 Gene was elected to the position of Vice-President and also serves as a Trustee on Joint Council #46.

Gene sits on the Upstate New York UPS Discharge & Suspension Panel and the Upstate Negotiating Committee, and helped negotiate the current 2002 UPS Local Supplemental Agreement.

He currently represents:
United Parcel Service, Conti Packing Co., Central Wholesale, Statewide Refrigerating, Empire Warehouse, Lake Beverage, Unisource, Bunzl USA and Rochester Beer & Beverage.

Christopher P. Toole
Secretary-Treasurer, Business Agent

Chris Toole was hired at United Parcel Service at the Rochester Center in 1983 as a part-timer on the Local Sort. He was promoted to a full-time Package Car position in 1985.

In 1994 Chris was appointed as Flag Bearer for Teamsters Local 118, and moved to the position of Sgt-At-Arms in 1996.

Chris was appointed to the position of Secretary-Treasurer in 2003, he was elected to this position at the end of 2003. He was also named to the Board of Directors for the B.T.A. Credit Union.

He currently represents:
members within the Wegmans Warehouse Division along with the following:
Boulter Corporation, C & M Forwarding, DHL Worldwide Express, Gates Highway, High Falls Brewery, Iroquois Rock, Manitou Construction, Mathews & Fields, Merkel Donohue, Morse Lumber, NY Trailways and Western Bituminous.

Ronald D. Hill
Recording Secretary, Business Agent

Ron has been a Teamster since 1976 when he worked as a driver for Fairfield Transportation in Cicero, New York as a member of Local 317.

Ron transferred to Barr Transportation in Auburn, NY a year later and became a member of Local 506. He was elected their Steward in 1981, a Trustee of Local 506 in 1988, he was appointed Recording Secretary in 1993 and finally became President of Local 506 in 1997.

In July 1998 Ron led the transition of merging Local 506 with Local 118 and currently serves the Local as Recording Secretary and Business Agent. He also represents Labor as a Board Member of the Workforce Investment Board in Cayuga County.

Ron currently represents members for the following companies: ABF, Automatic Rolls, Barr Transportation Elderlee, Hanson Aggregates, LaRoche Industries, Mapleton Ag Transport, New Penn, Roadway, UPS (Geneva Center), Yellow Freight as well as the Townships of Niles, Sennett and Skaneateles and the Villages of Lyons, Sodus Point and Wolcott.

David W. Weilert
Trustee

Dave was hired at Wegmans in 1984, where he was elected as one of their stewards. In 1989 he was promoted to the Brooks Avenue Facility.

In 1988 Dave was elected as a Trustee on the Executive Board of Teamsters Local 118, where he has served ever since. In addition Dave was also re-elected as a Steward in 1990 at Brooks Avenue.

Dave has helped negotiate every contract for Wegmans since 1990, was the Trustee for the Wegmans Sunshine Club and has held his office on the Executive Board the longest.

Richard T.Militello
Trustee

Dick was hired at Wegmans in 1975, as a part time employee in the warehouse and in 1977 was promoted as a full time warehouseman. In 1978 he transferred into the transportation as a driver.

In 1996 he became an Alternate Steward, then in 1997 he ran unopposed and became the fulltime 1st shift-driving Steward for the transportation department.

In 2002 he was considered by the executive board, then appointed to a door position as the Flag Bearer. Then in 2003 was appointed then elected as a Trustee on the Executive Board where his responsibilities to the membership expanded.

As a concerned member from the start he has always been an active Teamster in participating in every election and contract. With hard work, honesty and determination some of his goals have been made.
